Benefits

The expected benefits during the project's lifetime include, beyond the expected reduction of 111.956 tCO2e each year, species monitoring for reforestation, technical education for local community and implementation of sustainable economic activities.

  • Foreseen net reduction of GHG: 3,357,690 tCO2until 2043, corresponding to preventing 5.391,6 hectares of deforestation in 30 years;
  • Technical training of sustainable cattle raising, forest management and fire brigade;
  • Implementation of health care for workers;
  • School attendance monitoring.
  • Study of small units of processing beyond lumber harvest, like Brazil-nut production, already in operation;
  • Production of over 50.000 seeds of native species each year, alongside donations to neighbouring regions that would like to plant them;
  • Monitoring of working conditions in the area;
  • Teaching of technical parameters to the community.
