What happens if I don't act?
In 2021, the Amazon lost more than 1 million trees a day, which contributes to climate change, habitat degradation, and an increasing number of endangered species. Deforestation alone is responsible for around 44% of Brazil's greenhouse gas emissions (SEEG, 2022). Addressing this issue means that we are halfway there to reaching net-zero emissions as a country and addressing climate change.
