Launch follows a series of sustainable initiatives by the bank, which includes planting 25 thousand trees, selling carbon credits at C6 Store, in partnership with Carbonext, and offsetting CO2 emissions.

"With the objective of encouraging more sustainable practices that benefit the preservation of the environment, C6 Bank today launches Acqua, a biodegradable card for those who want to reduce the consumption of petroleum-based plastic. ... In addition, starting this week, C6 Bank clients can buy carbon credits with Atomos points, simply and in a few clicks, directly on the app. Simply access the C6 Store, look for the "Carbon Credit" category and choose the amount of credits you wish to offset.

The novelty is the result of a partnership with Carbonext, a company that has been operating in the development of forest protection projects for ten years. Each carbon credit unit offered at the C6 Store is equivalent to one ton of carbon that is no longer released into the atmosphere. These resources become financial incentives for sustainable development projects and protection of the Amazon forest."
