Our Credits

Discover the step-by-step of conservation.

Generating the first carbon credits in an area is a long process that involves hundreds of people.

We thank all employees and companies that, for 12 years, have helped us build a better future for our planet.

1. Which areas to conserve?

Through geospatial intelligence analysis and reconnaissance visits, we look for forests with imminent risk of deforestation that have the potential to generate credits.

2. Is the area really at risk?

Using satellite images from previous years, we measure the progress of deforestation and project deforestation for the coming years. Then, a team made up of environmental, forestry engineers, and sociologists analyzes the feasibility of the project and understands its positive impacts on the community and local biodiversity.

3. Time to conserve

Following international standards, we initiated monitoring and actions with the communities.

4. Valuing the standing forest

Annually, our projects are audited by independent international agencies, which assess the effectiveness of the implemented actions. If deforestation is prevented and the purposes of REDD+ are met, carbon credits are released for commercialization. The revenue generated with this mechanism guarantees the financing and continuity of the projects. In other words, we can continue conserving the forest and helping with social projects requested by the project communities.

5. Who checks our projects?

All our projects are internationally certified by the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), accredited and issued by Verra, an international organization. Read more at verra.com.br
