Our Projects

Our projects protect around 2 million hectares of the Amazon rainforest.

We are responsible for measuring the amount of CO2 stored in the area, gathering information about the local biodiversity, and providing a decent and more sustainable life for each person in our projects.

We're constantly monitoring our project areas and looking for ways to improve our impact on the planet.

Caapii

The Caapii REDD+ project is located in the state of Pará, in the cities of Paragominas, Ipixuna do Pará and Tomé-Açu. Its main goals are to preserve Amazon Forest areas, conserve local biodiversity, improve the quality of life of the communities in the region, and benefit the climate through actions in the project area.

By avoiding the deforestation of 35,000 hectares of Amazon Rainforest, we will be avoiding the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, responsible for global warming and the acceleration of climate change on the planet.

Ipoá

The project is located in the city of Novo Aripuanã, AM. There are three traditional communities that live basically from copaíba harvesting and wood extraction.

It aims to protect a portion of the Amazon rainforest area for the purpose of reducing CO2 emissions and conserving biodiversity.

Itaúba

The Itaúba REDD+ project aims to protect the integrity of forests located in rural areas with high deforestation pressure in the cities of Marcelândia and Itaúba, in the north of the state of Mato Grosso.

Both cities are geographically located in the "Arc of Deforestation" and are neighbors to other municipalities that are also heavily deforested. The estimated net GHG emission reductions for the 30 years of the project correspond to the avoided deforestation of 14,761.08 hectares. Reducing emissions from land use, the activity that generates most emissions in the Brazilian scenario, the project contributes significantly to the mitigation of climate change.

Ybyrá

The Ybyrá REDD+ project has as its main objective to preserve areas with remnants of the Amazon Rainforest in a region with a history of deforestation in Brazil. This unique project's challenge is to protect an area of 102,000 hectares, distributed over 74 rural properties in the cities of Paragominas, Ipixuna do Pará, Tomé- Açu, Ulianópolis and Capitão Poço, in the state of Pará.

By avoiding the deforestation of these areas through the project's actions, the local biodiversity, the communities in the region and the climate will benefit, avoiding the emission of tons of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
