"Two days after the environment minister stated at COP26 that Brazil's "green future has already begun," data show that the Legal Amazon had an area of 877 km² under deforestation alert, a 5% increase compared to 2020 and a record for the month in the history series. The figures were released by the Institute for Space Research (Inpe) this Friday (12)."
