"A few weeks after the conclusion of COP27, much of the discussions taken to Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, remain intact. With no major pragmatic commitments made by world leaders, the consensus is that the "COP of implementation" may not have implemented all that much. There was also a rehearsal of possible G20 countries giving up on keeping the warming target at 1.5ºC - an attempt that was not taken forward, however, amid public pressure and resistance from countries most vulnerable to the climate crisis."
