"With the arrival of the long-awaited COP26, the 195 countries that are signatories to the Paris Agreement, signed in 2015 at COP21, will have the opportunity to create a robust carbon market as they gather for climate negotiations in Glasgow, UK.
This will require nations to reach consensus on Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, which ensures that these countries can trade carbon credits with each other in order to secure their greenhouse gas emission reductions through the sale of surplus emission credits if they have already met their commitments."
